Fan coil unit is one of the systems that comes to the forefront with its unique structure among ventilation systems and greatly affects the heating or cooling of the environment by providing air permeability with the help of a fan.
The unit has the feature of blowing the heat of the water passing through the pipe inside. Since the majority of cooling and heating systems are supplied with water, the power taken from the electricity source primarily cools or heats the water. The temperature of this water is transferred to the environment as air with the help of the fan coil unit.
The thermostats in the rooms measure the room temperature and enable the fan coil unit to be activated or stopped.
The motor or motors inside the unit start to work through this thermostat and affect the ambient temperature. Heating and cooling volume can be increased according to the number of pipes inside the device. Pipe is used according to the size of the area to be ventilated.
The most important feature that distinguishes the two-pipe fan coil unit from the four-pipe unit is the heating option. In a two-pipe system, only one type of heat can pass through the pipe. You can only choose cold or hot. You have no alternative but the heat you choose.
However, in four-pipe systems, since both hot and cold water moves through the unit, the temperature can be used at the desired level on demand or by means of a thermostat that automatically measures the room temperature.
