VRF Systems

Technical information

VRF systems are used as one of the important components of the air conditioning industry. It is used and mentioned as an abbreviation of the words “Variable Refrigerant Flow” which means variable fluid cooler in Turkish. As a result of scientific studies, it is preferred as one of the most ideal cooling systems for some sectors.

These systems, which are very efficient in terms of energy, are produced with the latest technology. With VRF systems, also known as economical, the performance of the air conditioner is regulated by a variable refrigerant flow rate, thus allowing more options.

VRF systems are known as an alternative to central air conditioning technology. In a large ventilation and air conditioning unit, the outside air is sucked in, cooled, filtered or humidified.

From here, the air reaches the connected rooms via an air duct. A compact module is used in VRF technology. The refrigerant is transferred through copper pipes to the individual air conditioning units in the rooms. When integrated as an outdoor facility, it connects energy flows and increases efficiency significantly.

What Does VRF System Mean?

Unlike normal central air conditioning systems, the VRF system offers the alternative of heating some rooms at any time and cooling other rooms at the same time.

It is particularly suitable for large building complexes and generally for all buildings where many different areas need to be air-conditioned or heated. While a maximum of four to five indoor units can be operated from one outdoor unit in a multi-split system; Up to 500 indoor units can be operated in VRF systems. It is the most ideal method for huge buildings.

Considering that today the buildings have expanded to a great extent and have different units, some offices may require high temperatures while others may require low temperatures.

In such cases, it will not be possible to get efficiency from central air conditioning systems. The new technology VRF systems used instead are designed to find a solution to this problem and serve very successfully.

VRF Air Conditioning Systems

VRF air conditioning systems are designed as a combination of multiple air conditioning units, all of which must be interconnected. A microprocessor integrated into the system processes the information from all the sensors it contains, thus ensuring the optimum distribution of power. These advanced systems appear to be versatile. In terms of the advantages it provides, VRF air conditioning systems are the most ideal air conditioning method for large workplaces.

The smart system provides multi-directional heating and cooling. Since the heat transfer takes place only between the refrigerant and the air, the energy losses are low. It is functional due to its ability to absorb the humidity of the air. VRF air conditioner units are connected to the outside air source as standard. Thus, the outside air can also be supplied by the system.

VRF systems provide an excellent level of operation for workplaces, businesses, factories or similar buildings that aim for versatile and functional air conditioning. For this reason, it is recommended to cooperate with companies that work with experienced teams in the use of these systems. You should not forget to sign a contract with the relevant companies for the periodic maintenance of VRF systems.
